About Shaquana Monique

A woman with curly hair wearing a wide-brimmed hat and a black top, smiling and looking down, against a plain white background.

Let me start off by saying I am nothing without God. I mean meaninglessly nothing.

God is my creator and I am simply just a vessel learning how to be used his way and in his time.

I'm just a simple, soulful, creative soul that loves all things creative. Journals are my obsession, writing is my soul pouring out and learning how to live abundantly while Spreading Love in a Creative way is the spark that sets my excitement in motion.

By not limiting myself to just one creative outlet it has given me the space to create and share my journey of healing on purpose intentionally.

I pray that I am able to be a positive encouragement and build a community that promotes taking that leap of faith; and healing on purpose one day at a time through writing, crafts, gift making and other creative outlets.

Simply put I am a Sunflower healing on purpose.

I enjoy everything colorful and spreading all things in love.

Learning to love myself and accepting myself has been one of my biggest challenges throughout my life. Validation from the wrong spaces was my choice of drugs; living beyond my comfort zone was my fear.

The day I chose to get help by going to therapy and choosing to heal on purpose changed my life in so many amazing ways. To this day as I write this, my healing journey still continues, because healing is continuous.

I’m just here to share my voice; that although raw with no filters, healing is a blessing, healing is a feeling of peace; a feeling of peace that I am still learning how to not only accept, but to understand.

Healing is unlearning. Healing is growing. Healing is self awareness. Healing is peace.

I always thought healing was a temporary high for me, that depression, comparison, sadness, anger, was my only friend.

Healing fully wasn't an option for me.

But God has placed me in abundant spaces, and I am flourishing beautifully in a river of peace and growth and I want to share the love that’s overflowing in me.

I pray that my journey is a blessing to you as much as it is to me.

With an overflowing love

Shaquana Monique.
